Swire Shipping Donates Lifejackets to Pacific Maritime Training College

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – In a significant move to enhance maritime safety, Swire Shipping has today donated a substantial number of lifejackets to the Pacific Maritime Training College. This initiative aims to strengthen safety standards for maritime trainees and professionals in the region.
The donation ceremony, held at the college’s campus, was attended by Swire Shipping officials, including Natasha Chee, Marine Personnel Manning Manager, and Danny Rambahala, Crewing Officer. The donation was received by General Manager Mr. Malcolm Kana, Registrar Mrs. Hayley Kana, Senior Nautical Studies Trainer Mr. Brian Singiat, and other administrative staff.
During the event, Mr. Kana expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Swire Shipping, stating, “We thank Swire Shipping for their continued support in enhancing our safety standards. This donation will significantly benefit our students and help prepare them for their maritime careers.”
The Pacific Maritime Training College is renowned for its comprehensive training programs, preparing students for careers in the maritime industry. The lifejackets will be integrated into their training sessions, ensuring that all students receive practical, hands-on experience with critical safety equipment.
