Today, 19 candidates...

Today, 19 candidates who had been attending the Power generation and Ship’s Electrical Maintenance course graduated from the Pacific Maritime Training College (PMTC).

This is the first time that PMTC has conducted this course.

There was a certification ceremony held for PNG Defence Force Sea Element Staff who had successfully completed 11 weeks of theory and practical training.

Guest’s invited to witness the ceremony were

  1. CMDR Thomas Ponjom, Director Maritime Operations,

  2. CMDR Tau Ila, Director Technical Training,

  3. LCDR Stephen Langridge and

  4. LCDR Isaac Napitalai.

Mr Alobi Bomo, PMTC’s Director of training, thanked the PNGDF and Australian Defense Force(ADF) for choosing PMTC to provide this special training on behalf of the Pacific Maritime Training College Management in Port Moresby.

In his closing remarks, Commander Ponjom said that he was grateful to PMTC for providing this special training to enhance PNG DF’s human capacity in the Maritime Element which was progressing towards its development goals.

Also present at the certification ceremony were a good number of parents and families of the graduating students.
