Papua New Guinea National Capital District Schools Career Expo!

Pacific Maritime Training College was privileged to participate in the 14th Papua New Guinea National Capital District Schools Career Expo this year from the 26th of July to the 29th of July, 2016.

The NCD Schools Career Expo is an annual event organised by NCD schools guidance teachers in the hope of providing pathways for Grade 12’s. The expo ran for four days. The theme for this year was ‘Knowledge is Power’. The aim was to ensure that all Grade 12’s in NCD be informed to decide what career path to take.

PMTC was among about 22 exhibitors both from private and government run institutions.

Ms Mariatha Mahao from the PMTC admin office organised and faithfully attended the expo giving out general information about the college and the courses it offers. She was assisted by marine trainers and other admin staff each day.

Many students were keen to learn of Pacific Maritime Training College in Port Moresby and enquired to attend training in the near future.
