Certificate of Safety Training - Refresher
The STCW Basic Safety Training Refresher is a refresher course of the STCW Basic Safety Training. These courses are meant for all the crew members who will be employed on a ship. During the Basic Safety Training refresher course your memory will be refreshed on how to act in various emergency situations on board of a ship. The Basic Safety Training of PMTC is approved by NMSA and complies with the demands of the STCW 95 and STCW 2010 Manila amendments and this certificate is required to have before you can conduct any work on a ship. The STCW (95 & 2010) Safety Training – Refresher Course includes:
➢ Personal Survival Techniques (STCW A-VI/1-1)
➢ Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (STCW A-VI/1-2)
➢ Elementary First Aid (STCW A-VI/1-3)
➢ Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (STCW A-VI/1-4)
➢ Proficiency in Security Awareness (STCW A-VI/6-1)
This course includes all five modules, but they can also be booked separately for increased flexibility. Please use the links above for information on the individual modules.
Requirements:
➢ A STCW Basic Safety Training certificate
➢ A valid maritime medical certificate

➢ 5 days
Training towards:
➢ STCW Basic Safety Training (STCW95) Certificate (STCW Code A-VI/1)
➢ Proficiency in Security Awareness (STCW code Reg A-VI/6-1)
Examination and assessment:
➢ Continual practical assessment with theory based examinations.
