SECURITY AWARENESS
AIM To provide necessary training in enhancement of maritime security through heightened awareness, in the recognition of security threats and to understand the need for and methods of maintaining security awareness and vigilance, according to required standards listed in section A-VI/6-1 of the STCW Code as per the 2010 amendments and the ISPS Code. This training is based on IMO model course 3.27. PRE - REQUISITE NONE STCW Regulation VI/6 of STCW Convention and Section A-VI/6-1 of STCW Code. Objectives Those who successfully complete this course should achieve the required standard of competence enabling them to contribute to the enhancement of maritime security through heightened awareness and the ability to recognize security threats and to respond appropriately. Course Outline consists of;
• ISPS Introduction
• Contribute to the Enhancement of maritime security through heightened awareness
• Recognition of security threats
• Understanding of the need for and methods of maintaining security awareness and vigilance Program
Based on IMO Model Course 3.27 “Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers”. Equipment Classroom for theoretical lessons with overhead projector, media projector, whiteboard, Video, etc. Number of trainees 5 - 20 participants.

CERTIFICATES
Candidates will be issued a certificate of proficiency in security awareness after successfully completing the one day training course.
