Mr Jonathan NAGU
TRAINER
Mr Jonathan Nagu has served in the PNG DF for 22 years.
He started his service with the PNG since 1980 and over the 22 years of service with the PNG DF, he raised through the ranks to be a trades man fitter, mechanical marine.
He received training in the following areas;

Tradesman fitter

Weapons handling

Ships husbandry.

Surveillance and intelligence

Seamanship
-
Apprentice marine fitter from the Australian Defence Force

Able Seaman
His responsibilities in the PNG Navy covered carrying out engine room watches as well as serving and repairing;

Outboard motors

Auxiliary machinery

Main propulsion engine.
Mr Jonathan has a merchant marine qualification as a class 5 marine engineer.
He joined PMTC in 2014 and his duties cover teaching engineering students in auxiliary machinery in marine engineering. He oversee’s preparing and teaching survival classes.
He also participates in teaching security familiarization and fire fighting courses.
Mr Jonathan has received training in lesson planning and internal auditing from PMTC.
