This training will provide the participants with the knowledge and skills required to safely conduct Cargo Surveys on vessels. This training shall prepare the Cargo Surveyor to perform the duties of monitoring Cargo operations with the aim of ensuring safe and proper handling of cargo during discharge/loading operations, as well as being in charge survey operations on the ship’s deck. Therefore, the deck officers need to be practical, resourceful and have a real interest in secure loading of cargo, identifying basic cargo handling and cargo safety requirements on vessels as well as calculate storage requirements on vessels.
