Cargo operation is a specialized area in any merchant ship where safety of operations is considered prime concern. There are great risks to safety at sea and to individual seafarers if untrained workers are responsible for the loading and discharging a ship. Ship’s Officers who are designated for handling cargoes are trained in the area of loading, discharging and stowage of cargo for ships, because of the nature of different types of cargo, cargo’s effect on the ship’s stability, as well as the cargo operational equipment. Participants will be made aware of the safety features of cargo working gear, risks associated with dangerous goods, importance of proper stowage, types of cargo securing equipment and the how the cargo’s stowage location affects the ships stability.

Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) _ Advanced

Advanced SOLAS training is an amalgamation of courses which consists of the advanced firefighting, survival craft and rescue boats training and medical first courses that are sandwiched to provide advanced safety and emergency preparedness training for ships officers at master class four level to master class one and engineer class three level up to engineer class one level.
This training aims to provide that environment to learn the operational, command and control operations in a shipboard situation, with the correct mind set, because emergency situation on ships must be handled with confidence and calmness, for haste decisions and “jumping to conclusions” can make the matters even worse. The advanced SOLAS training involves theoretical and practical demonstrations where participants will apply their knowledge and experience in realistic simulated scenarios which may not only be limited to fires, sea survival or medical response, emergencies can be unexpected situation which would involve pollution, spills, man-overboard, machinery failure, damage caused by heavy seas on ships and its cargo and many more.

Marine Engineer 2

This training course is aimed at preparing ships engineer officers to perform, second engineer officer duties, as required by regulation III/3 of the STCW Convention 1978 as amended or be Chief Engineer on vessels with propulsion powers up to 3000KW, as stipulated in regulation III/3 of the STCW Convention and Code as amended. Every candidate for certification as second engineer, in-charge of a watch in a manned engine-room or as designated duty engineer in a periodically unmanned engine-room or be chief engineers of ships powered by main propulsion machinery up to 3000 kW, shall perform the duties of monitoring and operating all kinds of ships power plants, ranging from mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration plant, pumping systems, ventilations systems and control equipment.
Along with the knowledge and practical trade skills, the engineer officer needs to have good people skills, communication skills and be the kind of person who’s decisive, calm and able to inspire confidence in others in a complex modern ships machinery space.

Safety Induction Training for Offshore Platform

The training serves as an induction training for non-seafarer personal who will be performing their technical trade tasks on-board ocean-going vessels and also for those who are already seafarers, this training enhances their existing knowledge to maintain the safety conscious mind frame and the attitude of always be prepared for any emergency that may arise on board their vessel. Welding _ Advanced

The Elementary First Aid Course covers basic theory and practical sessions. The training will enable the participant to provide assessment of needs of casualties and threats to own safety, appreciation of body structure and functions.

This course addresses the main factors to be aware of in a crisis and the key measures seafarers should deploy, such as how ship’s crew assess and respond to a crisis using the resources available; how the crew cope with the stress involved; how ship’s crew control large numbers of passengers and how the ship’s crew communicate effectively with passengers. This training will assist candidates to appreciate utilize existing resources on board, such as, any other person assigned immediate responsibility for embarking and disembarking passengers, for loading, discharging or securing cargo, or for closing hull openings.

This training follows the IMO Model course 3.20, with the aim to provide participants with a firm understanding of the purpose of the ISPS Code and current maritime security threats and patterns relating to shipping and ports. The training provides awareness on the recent conventions that are applied onboard vessels, engaged on international trade. Marine Technical Propulsion 2

This training will provide the participants with the knowledge and skills required to safely operate propulsion plant (s) and auxiliary equipment on a vessel not exceeding 750 kW propulsion power. This training shall prepare the marine engineer to perform the duties of monitoring the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration plant, pumping systems, ventilations systems and control equipment, as well as being in charge of engine management systems, maintenance of the machinery in engine room and ship’s deck.
Therefore the engineer officer needs to be practical, resourceful and have a real interest in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems and identify basic stability requirements on vessels as well as calculate fuel consumption and storage requirements on vessels.
This training will provide participants with the engineering knowledge and skills required to safely operate machinery and maintain electrical equipment on board a vessel.
